1. Build an Agency Site in Minutes with AI
Your website is your home base for capturing agency leads. It doesn’t need to be thousands of pages, either.
I recommend a one-pager if you’re starting.
Like this simple website we created that ranks #1 in Google for “St Louis SEO Consultant.”
A one-pager is a single page that scrolls and includes everything prospective clients need to know about your agency, including your service offers, target market, case studies, and team.
And there are a few ways you can create a one-pager.
Option #1 is to do it manually, which means you’ll need to purchase a domain and hosting, set the website up on WordPress, find a theme, and then design the page from scratch.
Option #2 is to leverage artificial intelligence and have it build your website automatically.
Next, click “Let AI build it for you!”
Then, write a 1-2 sentence description that describes your agency and what it offers. Make sure you include your location, your target market, and the services you offer.
This part is critical because you’re feeding the AI.
So, the more specific you are, the better the output.
Next, pick a few goals for your website and select a style.
And within a few minutes, you’ll have a nice foundation for your agency website that you can personalize and make unique to your brand.
Once again, Hubspot uses a drag-and-drop builder, so you won’t need coding experience to create a great agency website.

2. Crawl Websites Like Google
Screaming Frog is a must-have agency tool because it allows you to crawl any website to identify technical and content opportunities.
Here’s how to use it:
Now, you can find hundreds of SEO opportunities by doing this, but here are four high-impact opportunities to look for:
Go to the “Crawl Depth” column and look for pages that are more than three clicks deep into the site architecture.
Now, you’ll need to move those pages further into the architecture so Google can crawl and index them more easily.
Internal Link Coverage
Go to the Unique Inlinks section and look for pages that have less than five internal links.
These are pages that you should look to build internal links from other relevant pages on your website.
If no other relevant pages exist, then it’s an indication that you need more topically relevant SEO content.
Poor Engagement Rate
Go to the “Engagement Rate” column, which is data that comes from Google Analytics 4.
In short, this metric tells you how well users engage with your content.
If it’s low, you know there’s room to improve the page. In general, poor UX will likely lead to poor SEO performance.
Pages with Poor SEO Performance
Any page with zero impressions and clicks from Google Search Console, zero traffic from Google Analytics, and zero backlinks from Ahrefs should be labeled as poor performance.
You’ll need to examine these pages and act on them. There are only a few options:
Delete and 404
This is the best option if the content is thin, outdated, or low-quality.
Maybe the page hasn’t gotten the love it deserves.
So go back to the drawing board, rebuild it, and republish it.
This is a good option when the page targets a keyword, but it just hasn’t performed well.
Consolidate and 301 Redirect
Sometimes, you’ll find keyword cannibalization when more than two or more pages target the same keyword phrase.
In this case, you should consolidate assets and 301 redirect the competing assets so Google understands what page you want to rank.
Another situation for consolidation is when you’re dealing with many thin assets.
It might make more sense to consolidate these assets into a super asset.
3. Leverage AI in Your SEO (The Right Way)
While AI tools like ChatGPT can be used to produce content, there are many other incredible SEO use cases.
Here are a few ways to use AI to make your SEO campaigns more effective:
Create Regex to Find Content Opportunities
Open ChatGPT and use the following prompt:
Copy the code and open Google Search Console:
Go to Performance, click on Search Results, and click on New:
Click the dropdown, select Custom (regex), and enter the code.
Now click on Position, click on the filter, and select Position.
Select greater than 50.
These keywords are what I call cluster opportunities, and there’s a good chance that whatever page is currently ranking isn’t optimized well enough for the keyword (hence why it’s ranking poorly).
So, you’ll likely need to create new content for the keyword.
Just make sure you review your existing pages and make sure there are no pages already targeting it.
Create Schema Markup
For example, I created a product review schema when I reviewed the Detailed SEO Chrome extension, and now it shows structured data in the search results.
Here’s how to do it:
First, use the following prompt, personalize it to your brand, and run it through ChatGPT.
Now, copy the Schema output:
And test it using this tool:
Once it’s good, go to your content and insert the schema.
If you’re on WordPress, you can use schema plugins, but I prefer Generatepress elements.
For example, with GeneratePress, you can create an element, add the schema, select the page you want it to show on, publish, and then the code will automatically be added to that one page.
4. The Magic is in the Edit
Anyone can create SEO content, but great content is the product of great editing.
Here are two tools you need in your agency arsenal:
First, Hemingway is the best way to improve sentence structure and general readability.
It’s much more difficult to edit content with it, but it’s almost guaranteed to improve your content.
Once you’ve edited with Hemingway, I recommend running your SEO content through Grammarly for another edit.
5. Optimize Your SEO Content for NLP
Natural Language Processing, or NLP, is what search engines like Google use to understand content.
Optimizing your SEO content aims to help Google better understand your pages.
Open Surfer SEO, open Content Editor, enter your keyword, paste your content into the editor, look at the NLP keywords, and look for gaps in your content.
The goal isn’t necessarily to get a high score.
The goal is to fill any gaps in your content.

Enter your competitor’s domain into the Site Explorer:

Now, you have access to the exact content frameworks proven to generate backlinks.
Find Link Gaps
Go to Organic Competitors:
Open Link Intersect in another tab and paste your top 3 competitors into the Link Intersect tool to see where your competitors have backlinks but you don’t.
Then, just study how they got those backlinks and try to get them.
7. Establish Your Analytics Foundation
At a bare minimum, you need Google Analytics and Google Search Console for all your campaigns.
But you could also use Google’s Looker studio to create organized reports for your clients.

8. Always Be Testing Your SEO
The good news is that you don’t need to guess what works in SEO. Instead, you can document and test your actions.
That’s when a tool like SEOtesting.com comes into play.
For example, I wanted to improve rankings for the keyword “SEO for roofers.”
So, I upgraded the page and then ran a test with SEO
Testing to see if my actions produced outcomes.
Based on the data, I increased organic clicks by 627.27%.
